Sem 3 for the year 2, and sem 1 of year 1 have just ended! To the Year 2s this would mean one more sem till their big examination day, and for the year 1 this would mean that our first phase in KMB life have just ended and a presumably more challenging 1 and a half year is about to begin. But dont worry friends, hope that we'll learn from our past mistakes and that we'll be able to use our free holiday time wisely. Well good luck with your results and we from the new line of MPP wishes u all a blessfull and successfull future, and whatever comes forth lets us deal with it as one family, seniors and juniors alike.

teams have been divided. So the first meeting will be after the college starts back. U are needed to find a name n colour for ur team, choose ur captain, design ur team shirts n prepare anything necessary for a sport team to live. remember to make it competitive n sound sporty. Cheer leading is also included to light up the sport carnival

Merdeka Celebration !!!
The internal celebration was don on 19 of august. Having the climax done by the MPP's n also KMB students. Big thanx to all...The prize giving ceremony was a clear process, nothing caused a halt. Just a minor shock when it came to the prizes for the yr2's business presentation award. But overall, we would like to say congratulaition and thanx to everyone, admin, teachers, MPPs and KMbians, Especially the math department headed by Pn. Siti Rohani :D

PSN is recruiting new members n the interview would b continued somewhere next week i hope. Basketball is having a friendly match with KMS, supposingly, but since its been quite hard and twice cancelled i dunno whether it's happening or not. SPR mentioned that the election for the new MPP's is somewhere mid October. So ladies n gentlemens of yr1, u can start warming up ur engines :)

the previous post mentioned about Merdeka Celebration is canceled and MARA was out of budget. However, dated yesterdeay, the authorities in their meeting agreed on certain matters. Things have changed. WHY? This is still unsure...
Good news:
The Merdeka Celebration and Kasukma is on. But postponed to a later date
We will still be the host for the Merdeka Celebration event
The Merdeka Celebraiton will be during the holidays ( 25-27 September)
Bad News:
The events are going to be quite late. Thus it might cause some difficulties especially among yr2's
Kasukma will be held on 8 oct n a few days later. so some of the yr2's find it as not a good time to be participating

Such a surprise but as an IB learner we should adapt to it as fast as possible. Why am I starting with this is that the Merdeka Celeration for the KMs & KPMs is cancelled!!!:( This is due to lack of budget from Mara
Its not only Merdeka Celebration, but all that has to do with Mara's celebration is cancelled; Kasukma & Rugby tournament.
So now we have to deal with the tickets booked by students as holiday is no more n all the preps that is put to waste coz of this matter. However, the college is trying at its best to cope with this situation. Budget is saved as much as possible for the four students going to Japan for the science fair.
P/S : This is also a warning to all scholars that budget money for us is not that secure. Thus work to our very best.Goodluck!!!

The Jamboree camp was held on the 3rd-5th of July 2009. It is said that students from our college received many compliments from teachers of other colleges. They said that our students are very 'fun' and 'sporting'. This camp was attended by 21 students from the Interactive Peers (IP) club. We hope that in the near future there will be more MCB students who will make the college proud. GO MCB GO !!!

On the 23rd of June, 386 students registered in the morning. The registration went okay with a lot of things going on at the same time (briefing to the parents, registration for yr 1s, children daycare, placing their belongings in their room). Then the orientation started in the evening. They had a week of discipline and lectures about the IB program. No matter what ever that's gonna happen, I wanna wish yr1s good luck and have fun in KMB, do not waste your youth by putting negative thoughts on this college :)
two days later, a girl registered in. She said she just received the letter the day before. And her eagerness brought her to KMB as soon as possible.WOW!!!
30 June 2009, another 19 joined making it 406 yr1s. Classes will be until the alphabet 'U' for medic, a new record :D If we add all the students, it will then sum up to 734 students in KMB. Quite a lot. Even everywhere seems to be a bit too crowded. Anyway, just learn to adapt with the new situation and hope for the best.Insya-Allah...

The food court is now opened. Launched today, 1st July 2009 during lunch time. The food court would be totally under Koperasi KMB and will be opened insya-Allah from 2 p.m - 11 p.m everyday.
Today, it is estimated that about 40% of the student tried the food and drinks. Most of them said it is worth it. It is also seen as a potential study and gathering place
With the new building in the college, let's have more fun and make full use of it...Njoy ur food!!!

The next KASUKMA (Karnival Sukan MARA) will be held in Sarawak.(tho not sure where n when)
Melbourne univ has moved up to MD (Doctor of Medicine) and no longer have MBBS(Bachelor of Medicine) which will take 7 years; 3 years of biomedical science and 4 years of medical(clinical work) cmpared to MBBS which takes 6 years; 4years theoretical and 2 years clinical. So the point is there is a possibility that some may not do MBBS. and the requirement is only a pass in IB subjects.=)
all juniors will be taking english HL. so they're gonna take 4 higher level subjects.
A test will be held during orientation to identify the weak ones so measures can be taken. Juniors, do your best in the exam. it will be slightly different from ours.(without literature part im sure n maybe slightly more difficult)
The coming juniors will consist of 40 newmed (Newcastle Medicine) students which will further their study in Newcastle University at Iskandar campus at Johor.
and there may also be offers of NewMed to the 08/10 batch(senior-to-be)
All year ones (the coming juniors) will be made compulsory to join a badan beruniform(yay=P) which can be chosen from a choice of 3: kadet polis , kadet bomba , JPAM
(at least u guys got choices)
Maybe we will have new treadmills in our gymnasium. Director is seriously considering buying a 'smart pool' which can fit 2 swimmers each. (the one where the water flows and the swimmers are static? XD)maybe 4 units of those which cost around rm50 000 each.
last but not least, benchmark clenliness as our strength! let us be more attentive towards our surrounding, pick up trashes, and maintain the cleanliness of our college;starting from your own room n classes!=D

So there we have it. The college is trying hard for us. N we should do the same for the college. Together we can make our 2 yrs of IB life a memorable one

- Curtains will be put up for classes without them and old curtains will be changed
- LT 1 and LT 2 will restart its renovation as the budget has been approved
- The new building is going to be a food court monitored by the co-operative
- The Dlink server is being kept monitored by En. Ghazali n recently reported to have difficulties due to cable problems
- The Academic Bureau, ACE wants the LRC to open on the weekends. For this to happen, they are suggesting the Resource Centre Bridget, a new student body incharge of the LRC.
So there we have it. The college is trying hard for us. N we should do the same for the college. Together we can make our 2 yrs of IB life a memorable one
